HanoverView Animal Hospital has both the CryoLab Vet and the CryoOmega Vet at the hospital. This is a great option for smaller skin tags, wart like lesions, and some other skin on your pets. Cryo surgery uses Nitrous Oxide to freeze the skin lesion. It typically takes a few minutes and you should see results in 5-14days.
Our veterinarians are able to perform cryo surgery without any anesthesia. Some patients do require a mild sedative if they are very active or the lesion is on a sensitive area of the body. There are no sutures required and therefore the dreaded Elizabethan Collar (AKA: E-collar or Cone of Shame) is not needed.
